Rotary rings bell for Salvation Army
Marquette Rotarians braved the December UP cold to ring the bell for the Salvation Army, like Rotarian Leonard Heldrith pictured here. The Marquette Rotary participates an annual bell-ringing competition with the Marquette Kiwanis Club. Both clubs pick days to ring the bell. The winning club presents the losing club with an ugly black chicken. Rotary wins again this year raising over $13,000. The two clubs raised just over $25,000 total for the Salvation Army. The ultimate winner for this fun competition are the people in Marquette County that these funds will assist.
